EY Appoints Chase Jordan as Global Private Equity ESG Leader
Susan Lahey
April 10, 2024
Professional services firm EY announced the appointment of Chase Jordan as EY Global Private Equity ESG Leader.
In his new role, Jordan will work with PE firms to help drive ESG-focused transformations within portfolio companies, and aiming for stronger ESG narratives upon exits. Jordan will be responsible for collaborating across fund lifecycles and embedding sustainability into both fund-level strategy and portfolio company operations.
The appointments follow EY’s announcement in 2022 of plans to invest $1 billion to expand its private equity capabilities and offerings in areas including value creation and portfolio transformation, deal leadership, and ESG. EY has also outlined plans to boost its own ESG capabilities and expertise, including a pledge to invest in services and solutions that help its clients profitably decarbonize their businesses and provide solutions to other sustainability challenges and opportunities.
In a post announcing the new appointment, EY Global Private Equity Leader Bridget Walsh said:
“Chase has a strong track record of advising PE firms on creating and protecting value through ESG management. Working with some of our largest PE clients, both domestically and internationally, Chase collaborates across fund lifecycles and embeds sustainability into both fund-level strategy and portfolio company operations.”
Jordan has been with EY since November 2022 as a partner with EY-Parthenon, EY’s global strategy consulting arm. Prior to joining EY, Chase held leadership positions with consulting firms Malk Partners and Booz Allen Hamilton.
Jordan said:
“I’m delighted to join EY’s strong and growing global private equity team. The opportunity before us is significant, demanding a coordinated global response across diverse skill sets. With its interventionist nature, private equity is uniquely positioned to implement ESG-focused transformations within their portfolio companies more rapidly than other market segments.”
