Transportation Outreach Coordinator
Clean Air Council – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
The Clean Air Council is seeking a self-starting and enthusiastic Transportation Outreach Coordinator to join their team. The Transportation Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for promoting sustainable transportation options in the city of Philadelphia and the surrounding region. This position will work on the Council’s GoPhillyGo program, a multimodal trip planner for the Philadelphia region, as well as other programs that advocate for better conditions for bicycling, walking, and public transportation.
Responsibilities:
– Conduct outreach to the public to promote sustainable transportation options
– Plan and implement campaigns to encourage increased use of biking, walking, and public transportation
– Maintain engaging content on various social media channels to promote the Council’s transportation work
– Attend in-person events as needed
– Draft and carry out email campaigns and other outreach strategies
– Design materials and fact sheets as needed
– Promote sustainable commuting initiatives for workplaces
– Participate in stakeholder meetings and coalitions representing the Council’s transportation work
– Visit and promote travel to environmental centers, parks, and trails in the region through sustainable modes
– Stay up-to-date on transportation news and inform the public about relevant issues and opportunities for engagement
– Collaborate with the program director to create and deliver testimony on transportation issues
Qualifications:
– Strong written and oral communication skills
– Experience managing social media accounts
– Proficiency in basic computer programs
– Commitment to sustainability and the environment
– Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and evenings for outreach events
– Experience with in-person engagement, photography, and video production (not required)
– Bilingual (not required)
– Experience with software like Canva or Adobe (not required)
Salary range: $40,000-$65,000, commensurate with experience and skills.
