Job Description:
Reduction In Motion is seeking a dedicated Sustainability Project Coordinator to join our team in implementing waste and sustainability programs for our clients. As a Sustainability Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in helping companies reduce waste and engage stakeholders in environmental sustainability. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Fallston, Maryland, with travel required up to 70% of the time. The starting salary for this position is $55,000.
Responsibilities:
– Plan and maintain project scopes, task schedules, and budgets for deliverable-based accounts
– Conduct site visits to assess situations, identify issues, and implement new programs as needed
– Facilitate client meetings and coordinate agendas, take notes, and send follow-ups
– Collaborate with other organizations to define solutions, make timely decisions, and communicate decisions effectively
– Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, vendors, and third-party organizations
– Utilize public speaking and presentation skills to deliver program plans and updates to various stakeholders
– Translate qualitative and quantitative data into digestible stories to promote opportunities and quantify program success
– Assist in writing reports to close out projects
– Work independently and collaboratively to solve problems and achieve results
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Project Management, or a related field
– Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the sustainability sector or other related fields
– Knowledgeable about local, regional, and national environmental issues related to waste reduction
– Excellent written and oral communication skills
– Strong collaboration and customer service skills
– Self-motivated with the ability to think strategically and lead efforts to effect positive change
– Willingness to travel out of state and work off hours and weekends occasionally
– Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
