About the Company:
The Clark County Department of Environment and Sustainability is dedicated to advancing sustainability and climate action in the region. We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Sustainability & Climate Program Manager. In this role, you will lead our efforts to implement the All-in Clark County Sustainability and Climate Action Plan. You will collaborate with other divisions, departments, and external agencies on regional sustainability initiatives, including but not limited to home and building improvements, electric vehicles, and waste reduction.
Job Responsibilities:
– Lead the implementation of the All-in Clark County Sustainability and Climate Action Plan
– Coordinate with other divisions, departments, and external agencies on regional sustainability and climate action efforts
– Supervise and direct the work of professional and technical support staff
– Develop and manage community-wide sustainability programs and grants
– Coordinate special projects related to sustainability and climate issues
– Provide technical and administrative support to the Deputy Director and/or Director of the Department of Environment and Sustainability
Minimum Requirements:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Planning, or a closely related field
– 5 years of professional experience in sustainability and/or climate programs, including 2 years of administrative and/or supervisory experience
– Advanced degree is desirable
– Strong knowledge of sustainability and climate issues
– Excellent communication and leadership skills
