Job Description:
The Clark County Department of Environment and Sustainability is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Sustainability and Climate Program Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of the All-in Clark County Sustainability and Climate Action Plan. You will coordinate with other divisions, departments, and external agencies on regional sustainability and climate action, including initiatives such as the All-In Home and Building Improvement Hub, electric vehicles, and waste reduction.
As the Sustainability and Climate Program Manager, you will supervise, coordinate, and direct the work of professional and technical support staff. You will also develop and manage community-wide sustainability programs and grants, supervise and coordinate special projects, and provide complex technical and administrative support to the Deputy Director and/or Director of the Department of Environment and Sustainability on sustainability and climate issues.
This is a management position and is excluded from union membership.
Qualifications:
– Strong knowledge of sustainability and climate action principles
– Experience in program management and coordination
– Excellent leadership and supervisory skills
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
– Knowledge of grant management and community outreach
– Knowledge of regional sustainability initiatives is a plus
