Job Description:
Montgomery County Government’s Department of Environmental Protection is seeking a Program Manager I for the Watershed Restoration Division, Planning Outreach and Monitoring Section. This position will be responsible for managing the County’s compliance property management and maintenance responsibilities under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit. Key responsibilities include developing and tracking pollution prevention activities and good housekeeping plans for County properties, conducting training and outreach, coordinating the development of the annual Salt Management Plan, and working collaboratively with multiple County departments and agencies.
Qualifications:
– Minimum 3 years of professional experience in stormwater and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) MS4 permitting and pollution prevention
– Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
– Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations governing water quality, including NPDES MS4 permitting, stormwater management, and pollution prevention control techniques
– Strong communication and data analysis skills
– Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Montgomery County
