Job Description:
We are currently accepting applications for a two-year, project-based Master in Environmental Management (MEM) degree program offered by Western Colorado University’s Clark Family School of Environment and Sustainability. As an MEM student, you will have the opportunity to develop highly employable skillsets and work on impactful projects in various disciplines such as ecosystem restoration, sustainable agriculture, community and land use planning, climate change mitigation, green infrastructure, and recreation planning, among others.
Our program offers three tracks: Global Sustainability, Integrative and Public Land Management, and Sustainable and Resilient Communities. As a distance student, you can pursue your master’s degree from anywhere in the world, while residential students have the chance to work with organizations in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
We are also excited to offer new fellowship opportunities funded by the US Department of Agriculture and the US Department of Energy. These fellowships provide paid positions to work with organizations and perform cutting-edge ecological research mentored by both our faculty and DOE National Laboratory partners.
At Western Colorado University, we value compulsive curiosity, commitment, and a desire to do meaningful environmental projects more than GRE scores. Therefore, no GRE is required for admission. Instead, we focus on your passion for the environment, commitment to making a difference, and desire to learn and grow.
