FUSE is a national nonprofit organization that focuses on increasing the effectiveness of local governments to build more equitable communities. They embed private sector executives in city and county agencies to lead projects that narrow racial disparities, improve public services, and accelerate systems change.
About the Position:
The FUSE Executive Fellowship is a year-long opportunity to provide foundational research towards the development of a climate resilience plan for the City of Los Angeles. The plan aims to address energy resilience equitably throughout the city and prioritize the interests of communities of color and working-class individuals. The Executive Fellow will collaborate with government partners and local stakeholders to establish an equity-centered review of various sources to establish a hyper-local baseline for energy resilience, identify gaps for future planning, and develop department-specific directives for resource allocation and innovative energy resilience systems design.
Qualifications:
– 15+ years of professional experience
– Proficient in synthesizing complex information and developing actionable implementation plans
– Strong project management skills
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
– Ability to foster collaboration across multiple constituencies
– Familiarity with environmental justice, resilience, and climate change issues preferred
