Are you passionate about reducing climate change impacts and promoting equitable legislation? FUSE Corps is collaborating with the City of New Orleans to develop and facilitate the approval of new energy use ordinances to benchmark, disclose, and reduce energy use in commercial buildings. By joining the FUSE Executive Fellowship, you will play a crucial role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, unlocking energy and cost savings opportunities, and improving the health benefits for businesses and residents in New Orleans.
As a FUSE Executive Fellow, you will partner with FUSE to lead this strategic project, which aims to advance racial equity and accelerate systems change. Throughout the fellowship, you will work closely with government partners, local stakeholders, and communities to define the scope of work and develop actionable roadmaps. You will bring your expertise in energy and sustainability policy development, building operations, stakeholder engagement, and project management to drive the success of this project.
The fellowship dates are April 22, 2024, to April 21, 2025. As an Executive Fellow, you will receive a competitive annual base salary of $80,000, along with access to various health, dental, and vision insurance benefits. Please note that the compensation for this year of public service is not intended to represent market-rate compensation for experienced professionals.
FUSE Corps is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding social and economic opportunities, particularly for communities affected by systemic and institutionalized racism. Since 2012, FUSE has led over 250 projects in 40 governments across 20 states, impacting the lives of 25 million people.
To qualify for this role, you should be able to synthesize complex information, develop strategic and operational project management plans, and generate innovative, data-driven solutions. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as you will be engaging with diverse stakeholders and facilitating consensus-building. You should also have experience building relationships with various constituents, fostering collaboration, and effectively managing complex projects.
