Overview:

The New Jersey Green Bank, a subsidiary of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as the inaugural Executive Director. The NJ Green Bank’s mission is to attract private sector funding to advance the state’s clean energy goals and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The Executive Director will be responsible for strategic and operational leadership, staff management, program expansion, and execution of the organization’s mission.

Responsibilities:

– Lead and manage the NJ Green Bank’s staff, programs, and expansion efforts
– Serve as the public face of the NJ Green Bank, engaging with key partners and stakeholders
– Guide the organization through its critical start-up phase and initial growth
– Recruit additional staff and secure additional funding for the organization
– Develop and implement financial management and accountability structures
– Launch catalytic financial offerings to support clean energy projects
– Build and grow partnerships with key stakeholders in the clean energy industry
– Develop and execute communication and outreach strategies to expand business opportunities

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred, in business administration or relevant field
– At least 10 years of experience in public and/or private investments, financing commercial projects
– Background in clean energy and/or climate finance
– Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective financial programs
– Strong leadership and management skills, especially in a start-up environment
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Knowledge of the non-profit, financial, energy, and public sectors
– Passion for tackling climate change and a commitment to sustainability

Salary: $159,300 – $194,700
