Executive Director – Luckiamute Watershed Council (LWC)

Job Type: Full-Time
The Luckiamute Watershed Council (LWC) is seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Director to lead our team and make a significant impact on the ecological health of the mid-Willamette valley. As the Executive Director, you will collaborate with our dedicated staff and community partners to ensure the success of our conservation and community engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
– Provide leadership and direction to the organization to realize its mission and vision
– Build partnerships and drive strategic initiatives to advance the LWC’s programs and values
– Manage day-to-day operations and legal obligations of the organization
– Supervise staff and oversee recruitment, development, and retention
– Secure funding through grants, partnerships, and donations
– Manage budgeting and financial operations in collaboration with the Board and Finance Committee
– Foster positive connections within the community and with key stakeholders
– Guide staff in pursuing landowner agreements and maintaining landowner databases
– Represent the LWC to various audiences and communities
Qualifications:
– Previous experience as a nonprofit professional, with proficiency in fundraising, grant writing, budgeting, and financial management
– Strong leadership skills and ability to engage with diverse populations
– Proficiency in project management, particularly as it pertains to natural resource management and conservation
– Experience in program development and sustainability planning
– Excellent communication skills and ability to represent the organization effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
– Bilingual in Spanish with bicultural lived experience
