Job Description:
The Institute for Market Transformation is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to equitably decarbonize buildings in this decade to improve the livability of our communities. We are seeking a Director of Business Engagement to manage our Building Performance Partnership (BPP) program and support the development and implementation of our network of building innovation hubs.
Responsibilities:
– Lead the development, implementation, and growth of the BPP program and hub network.
– Collaborate with project partners on proposal writing, resource creation, and other activities.
– Support capacity building in the buildings sector through training programs.
– Contribute to the development of solutions that promote high-performance building construction and operations.
– Present thought-leading ideas through public presentations, articles, and blogs.
– Work with local governments and utilities to incentivize the private sector to decarbonize buildings.
– Build relationships and facilitate public-private partnerships.
Qualifications:
– Undergraduate or graduate degree in real estate, finance, sustainability management, business, or related field preferred.
– 10+ years of experience in commercial real estate, energy services, or a related field.
– Familiarity with real estate finance and underwriting.
– Experience managing and developing staff.
– Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
