Job Description:
As the Chief Executive Officer of the Upcycled Food Association, you will play a crucial role in leading the organization to even greater success. This position offers the unique opportunity to make a significant impact on climate change by reducing food waste through upcycling. You will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, funders, and association members to develop and deliver a strategic plan for the organization. Your responsibilities will include increasing income, building awareness of upcycled foods, cultivating new partnerships and funding sources, and ensuring the operational and financial sustainability of the organization.
Qualifications:
– Passionate evangelist for addressing food waste and climate change
– Curious, creative, and entrepreneurial mindset
– Excellent communication and partnership-building skills
– Strong leadership and team management abilities
– Experience in strategic planning and operational oversight
– Fundraising experience from various sources
– Familiarity with the consumer packaged goods and retail industry
– Knowledge of non-profit management and governance
– Background in brand and content marketing
– Public speaking experience
